Dr. Olencki trained in medical oncology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.  He is an active member of the Cytokine Working Group which develops biologic therapies for patients with melanoma and kidney cancer. He is a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) committees on non-prostate genitourinary and non-melanoma skin cancer committees. This organization develops diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines for the respective cancers. He is actively involved with the Melanoma Research Foundation’s Community United for Research and Education of Ocular Melanoma (CURE OM) and the International Rare Cancers Initiative (IRCI) ocular melanoma group. His research and clinical interests include skin cancer and renal cell carcinoma.
