Dr. Goldberg is one of America’s Best Doctors. He has been listed in U.S.News and World Report’s Top Doctors for multiple consecutive years. He has also been listed in Who’s Who in Medical Sciences Education and in Best Doctors since 2001.He led a national intergroup study N9741 as part of an international phase III study of oxaliplatin, irinotecan and 5-fluorouracil in combinations for first-line treatment of advanced colorectal cancer. This study, which resulted in approval of oxaliplatin for clinical use, was conducted in centers across the United States and Canada, and helped change the standard of care for patients with advanced colorectal cancer. Dr. Goldberg’s clinical interests include managing patients with gastrointestinal (GI) cancers with a focus on colorectal, carcinoid and GI tract neuroendocrine cancers, new drug development and inherited predisposition to GI cancers.
