Dr. Lesinski received his Ph.D. in 2001 from The Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, OH and an MPH from The Ohio State University in 2012. Dr. Lesinski trained as a post-doctoral fellow under the direction of Dr. William E. Carson, III at The Ohio State University from 2001 – 2005.  He has also received Career Development Research Awards from The Melanoma Research Foundation, The Valvano Foundation for Cancer Research, and The Harry J. Lloyd Charitable Trust for his research on melanoma and from The Ohio Soybean Council to investigate the immune modulating effects of dietary soy. Dr. Lesinski holds professional memberships through The American Association for Cancer Research, The Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer and The Society for Melanoma Research.
