Dr. Bertino received her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. Her postgraduate training included an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University Medical Center and fellowship in hematology/medical oncology at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Bertino is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, and is also board-eligible in hematology.  Dr. Bertino has received the Conquer Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award in 2011 for an investigator-initiated phase I clinical trial.  She is primarily interested in thoracic oncology research, and focuses clinically on lung cancer.
