Dr. Ramaswamy  joined the Division of Solid Tumor Oncology in 2006. Her research interests include overcoming endocrine resistance and experimental therapeutics.   As part of fellowship training she completed a Breast Fellowship specifically designed to train future clinical translational investigators. She also spent two years in the lab studying epigenetics and biomarkers of endocrine resistance.  She serves as principal investigator on several trials including an investigator-initiated CTEP-sponsored phase I trial of carboplatin and veliparib, a PARP inhibitor, specifically for women with triple negative breast cancer and estrogen receptor breast cancers with a defect in the Fanconi-Anemia repair pathway.  Currently, she serves as the co-Director of Clinical Trials Office and is the Director of Breast Cancer Fellowship Program. Dr Ramaswamy provides clinical care to women with all stages of invasive breast cancer.  She has been named as of one of “Americas Top Doctors” since 2009.
