Dr. Bazan joined the faculty in 2010 after completing his Infectious Diseases Fellowship at OSU. In July of 2011 Dr. Bazan became the Medical Director of the Sexual Health Clinic at the Columbus Public Health Department.

Special Interests

Dr. Bazan’s interests include studying the role that sexually transmitted diseases play in the transmission of HIV. He is also interested in the furthering the understanding of HIV/Syphilis co-infection, especially diagnosis and management of neurosyphilis in the setting of HIV/AIDS. Dr. Bazan serves as a staff physician at Columbus Public Health’s Sexual Health Clinic, which provides longitudinal care to patients from central Ohio and serves as an educational and clinical training site for OSU infectious disease fellows.
Dr. Bazan is part of the OSU AIDS Clinical Trials Unit (ACTU) and serves a member of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group’s Underrepresented Populations Committee (ACTG-UPC).
