The Division of Hematology is actively recruiting physicians, physician/scientists and researchers to join the faculty to complement our disease based programs. We are inviting qualified candidates to be part of the exciting growth and development of cancer research and treatment at Ohio State.
Immediate openings exist at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level for individuals interested in clinical and tenure track faculty at The Ohio State University (OSU). Individuals interested in exploring basic, translational and clinical research opportunities in hematology and blood/bone marrow transplant are encouraged to apply. As the Midwest's first, and Ohio's only, fully dedicated cancer hospital and research institute, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center–Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC–James) is one of the nation's premier cancer centers for the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer. Recently, The OSUCCC was renewed as a fully “Comprehensive Cancer Center” with a designation of exceptional in peer review.
The OSUCCC-James provides the scientific and clinical forum for active programs of investigation. The Division of Hematology currently includes 29 faculty members who have established disease and modality specific orientation. The Division currently has a National Cancer Institute (NCI) sponsored SPORE, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society SCOR grant, UO1 phase I grant, two PO1 grants and a K12 training grant focused on immunology, epigenetics, and experimental therapeutics with a strong focus in blood cancers. Numerous institutional and cooperative group clinical protocols as well as extensive facilities for clinical pharmacology studies exist with an emphasis on the evaluation of new chemotherapeutic and biologic agents.
Candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Eligible or Certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology, as well as be able to meet Medical Licensure requirements in Ohio.
