The Section of Intestinal Neoplasia and Hereditary Polyposis focuses on the clinical care of patients with colon polyps or at risk for colon polyps or colorectal cancer (due to personal history, family history and/or other reasons). We are also actively involved in research into ways to personalize and improve colorectal cancer screening and colon polyp detection for both patients at average risk and increased risk. In addition to these specialty areas, all providers also provide comprehensive care in a wide variety of gastrointestinal disorders and symptoms.
We see patients at multiple convenient locations, including the Doan Hall Outpatient Clinic on the OSU Wexner Medical Center campus, Martha Morehouse Medical Plaza in Columbus, CarePoint East in Columbus, Stoneridge Medical Center in Dublin and the OSU Internal Medicine Clinic in Hilliard. We will collaborate closely with other physicians that are involved or may need to be involved in patient care.
Personal or family history of colon polyps, colon cancer or other cancers can indicate an increased risk for colon cancer. Click here for a questionnaire that can help identify at risk people that would benefit from further discussion with specialized care teams.
