 Medical Dermatology Research Fellowship at the Ohio State University

The Medical Dermatology Research Fellowship is ideal for a highly motivated individual who wishes to gain research and clinical experience in medical dermatology. The fellowship provides rigorous clinical training to take care of patients with cutaneous lymphoma, complex medical dermatology and psoriasis. An integral aspect of the position will be for the fellow to participate in translational research in ongoing clinical trials and/or laboratory studies. The fellowship duration can be 1-2 years and provides training that is ideal for those interested in a future career in academic medical dermatology. Training may include laboratory-based research studies and/or participation in clinical trials. The fellow will be an important part of the Division of Dermatology and will be encouraged to pursue scholarly projects and present their research at meetings. Prerequisite training is the successful completion of a PGY-1 year. Please submit a cover letter, CV, USMLE scores (Step 1, Step 2 CS, Step 2 CK), medical school transcript and two to three references to our Clinical Research Coordinator Aleitha Gates at Aleitha.Gates@osumc.edu.
 
 

Cutaneous Lymphoma Research Fellowship (PGY-2 or higher; non-ACGME accredited)

We are recruiting candidates interested in working with cutaneous lymphoma patients. The multidisciplinary cutaneous lymphoma clinic at the James Comprehensive Cancer Center at Ohio State University (OSU) Wexner Medical Center. Prospective candidates would be gaining a comprehensive experience caring for cutaneous lymphoma patients, helping with coordination of their complex care, and will have in depth exposure to clinical trials and translational research. You will be working along dermatologists and hematologists in a multi-disciplinary setting and will gain a wealth of experience in various skin assessment tools, performing skin biopsies, clinical trials in skin lymphomas, and experience can be tailored to the specific interests of more experienced candidates. Previous dermatology experience is highly-desired however is not required and we have had excellent track record in placing fellows into highly competitive dermatology residency programs. All fellows will receive a comprehensive benefit package similar to all ACGME-accredited fellows at OSU including a discretionary/education allowance.
