Fellowship Training Programs


Thank you for your interest in the Ohio State University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Program. Eligibility criteria for application to the program include the following:

*   MD or DO
*   US Citizenship, Permanent Resident, or J1
     Visa Status
*   Completed 3 years of US postgraduate
     residency training in an ACGME accredited
     program by the time of entry into the
     fellowship program.

Application to our ACGME accredited Cardiovascular Disease or our Interventional Cardiology programs is done via ERAS.  Paper applications will not be reviewed. 

Program ERAS application deadline
Cardiovascular Disease August 1, 2017 
for positions beginning July 1, 2018
Interventional Cardiology December 16, 2017 
for positions beginning July 1, 2019

ERAS applications should include a complete CV, personal statement, three letters of reference, USMLE Board Score Reports as well as a recent photograph. All positions in the Cardiovascular Disease program are filled through the NRMP match.

*Invitations to interview for the general fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease will be emailed during the third week of August 2016*

Application to other subspecialty programs including Cardiovascular Diagnostic Imaging, Electrophysiology, Heart Failure, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease can be made by completing and printing the application contained in this link:  Application 

Deadline for applications is as follows:

Electrophysiology October 1, 2017 
for positions beginning July 1, 2019
Heart Failure December 31, 2017 
for positions beginning July 1, 2019
Cardiovascular Diagnostic Imaging September 1, 2017 
for positions beginning July 1, 2018
Advanced Congenital Heart Disease October 31, 2017
for positions beginning July 1, 2018

** NOTE: cardiology fellowship MUST have been completed prior to entering any of these subspecialty programs.

In addition to the application, the following must be submitted: Three letters of reference (can be sent separately), USMLE board score reports, copies of doctoral certificate, ECFMG certificate (if applicable).
