Biographical

Curt J. Daniels, MD, FACC is an Associate Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in the Division of Cardiology at The Ohio State University and the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He is the Director of the Columbus Ohio Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Pulmonary Hypertension Programs. Dr. Daniels is board certified in both pediatric cardiology and internal medicine cardiology.
For the ACC, he is on the Adult Congenital/Pediatric Cardiology Council, Co –Chair of the ACHD Working Group and Chair of the ACHD Quality Metrics Working Group. In addition, Dr. Daniels serves on the Adult Congenital Heart Association Medical Advisory Board as the Co-Chair, member of the Executive Committee, Chair of the Professional Affairs Committee, and a Steering Committee member for ACHA Vision 2020.
Dr. Daniels is committed to education and has developed a fellowship program for ACHD that includes a combined internal medicine and pediatric cardiology fellowship and a separate two year fellowship (The Schooler Fellowship). He has also worked with colleagues to develop a subspecialty board certification in ACHD.
Dr Daniels works with colleagues from The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Heart Center and he is responsibility for an NIH T32 Training Grant recipient entitled “Training in Congenital Heart Disease.” In 2011 Dr. Daniels was elected President of the International Society for ACHD and plans to develop Global Health Initiatives for ACHD.
