Biographical

Dr. Husa is a tenure-track investigator and adult clinical rheumatologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. His past research focused on cartilage and chondrocyte biology as they relate to osteoarthritis pathophysiology, with specific emphasis on the mechanobiology of chondrocytes, the effects of biomechanical forces on cell stress responses, and the development of in vivo rodent modeling of arthritis. Current interests expand upon his past experience to include translational approaches in the treatment of inflammatory arthritis and osteoarthritis, the assessment of the role of aging in immune dysregulation and progression of joint disease, and the role of exercise in alterations of inflammation in rheumatic disease.
