Clinician Scientist Trainee Research Day

Judicial Duties

Individuals wishing to serve as judges for the 2nd Annual DOIM Clinician Scientist Trainee Research Day event on May 29, 2014 should register by completing an online form. Judge registations will be accepted until April 25, 2014. Volunteers will select which area of expertise they would prefer to judge in, which can range from the following categories:

  • Basic Research
  • Clinical Research
  • Translational Research
  • Quality Improvement
  • Medical Education
  • Clinical Vignettes

Research day judges will be assigned to 3 posters, and should be available to judge between 1pm and 2:30pm on the day of the event.  Judges will be matched to posters based on their stated preference and availability.  Material will be distributed to each judge in advance to allow for adequate time to pre-review the abstracts.

Expectations on May 29th

Judges should plan to arrive at 1pm, where they will check-in with the Research Day coordinator. Judges will spend time discussing posters with their assigned presenters, and complete an electronic evaluation form to provide real-time scoring of the trainee's poster. This can be completed on the judges Smartphone or mobile device (iPhone, tablet, or Android device), or by using one of the laptops and iPads made available in the lobby of the BRT.

We are grateful for the time and effort given by our participating judges.  Thank you in advance for volunteering and for helping to ensure the success of our Research Day events.
