Combined Adult Pulmonary/Critical Care and Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship Training
In collaboration with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, we offer a dual fellowship training track in adult pulmonary/critical care and pediatric pulmonology. As required by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics, this training must be five years in length and include scholarly activity. Training schedules must be approved by both Boards prior to the fellow beginning the training program. We have developed a training schedule that has met the requirements of both Boards and which we believe offers outstanding training in both adult pulmonary/critical care and pediatric pulmonology. A general outline of our training schedule is included below:

Application and Appointment Process We require candidates interested in dual training to apply using ERAS following the standard procedure for the adulty pulmonary/critical care fellowship program. Candidates should be certain to contact us regarding the desire to interview for dual training so we can coordinate the interview process with Nationwide Children’s Hospital. If offered an interview, candidates may need to be available for two consecutive days to interview at both programs. Candidates will enter the match for adult pulmonary/critical care fellowship training. Candidates for dual training will be ranked among pure adult candidates based on their application and interview reviews from both the adult and pediatric programs. Candidates who match into the adult program are also considered to have matched into the pediatric program.
