Name:

Courtney Nicholas

Education:

B.S.    Biology, The University of Scranton, Scranton PA

Mentor:

Andrea Doseff, PhD

Research Interests:

I am currently interested in studying the subcellular localization of the caspase-3 protein, as well as two other proteins which are potential regulators of caspase-3 activity.  I will be investigating the localization of these proteins under normal as well as apoptotic conditions in human monocytes and macrophages.

Awards and Honors:

The Parviz Lalezari Award for Research Excellence

Young Investigator’s Symposium, Montefiore Medical Center

May 2, 2003.  First Place.
