The goal of the Division’s research training is to allow fellows to pursue a project in their area of interest while providing them with a high quality experience that fosters intellectual development. We are committed to providing whatever support is necessary to allow our fellow to be successful in their research careers.

In their first year fellows are expected to select a research topic and mentor, and to develop their research proposal.  It is also expected that each first year fellow will submit one clinical manuscript during their first year.

In their second year, fellows are expected to obtain preliminary data in order to develop an abstract for presentation to a national meeting such as the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology or the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.  Prior to graduation it is expected that the fellow will have a manuscript suitable for publication.
