Biographical

I graduated from The Gorky Donetsk Medical Institute and completed an internal medicine residency from the Ministry of Health State Hospitals in Jordan in 1989. I decided to come to the United States to pursue higher education. I completed another internal medicine residency from Henry Ford Hospital in 1995. I then pursued a nephrology fellowship at The Ohio State University Medical Center. In 2003, I joined the nephrology faculty at the Ohio State University. I have primarily worked as a clinician with significant clinical duties, carrying multiple responsibilities in both general and interventional nephrology specialties. In addition to my clinical work, I am involved in medical education and research along with other scholarly activities. I was one of the founding nephrologists of a premier, nationally known, interventional nephrology program at the Ohio State University Medical Center, which was one of the first among academic medical centers in the country.
