Nephrology Clinical Conference.

Conducted weekly, the Nephrology Clinical Conference is a clinical meeting of Nephrology faculty, fellows and housestaff where one or two interesting clinical cases prepared by the clinical fellows are presented and discussed.  A Clinical Journal Club is also a part of this conference.

Nephrology Fellows' Conference.

This weekly conference is a major didactic session for both fellows and faculty. Clinical and research fellows present in-depth topics for discussion.  In addition, guest speakers from other clinical and basic science departments are often featured.  Once a month, the research faculty and fellows from the Nephrology Division and other interested departments present ongoing work to the Division.  This conference provides an important interaction between different research groups and helps to maintain a cooperative research spirit within the Division.

Nephropathology Conference.

Conducted weekly by a nephropathologist, kidney biopsies are reviewed and correlated to clinical information and disease pathogenesis.

Nephrology Housestaff Conference.

Held monthly, this conference is conducted by the Nephrology faculty and fellows for the Internal Medicine Housestaff. It consists of the presentation and discussion of common renal and electrolyte disturbances, and is geared toward problem solving and therapeutic solutions.

Visiting Professors Program.

In addition to the above meetings, the Nephrology Division has an active visiting Professor program. Each year four to eight national figures in the field of Nephrology visit the Division for a one or two day exchange of ideas and seminars.
