Dr. Ciombor is a medical oncologist who specializes in gastrointestinal cancers. Dr. Ciombor received her bachelor’s degree in biochemical sciences from Harvard College in 2001 and then received her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2005. She went on to complete an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital/Veterans Administration in Miami, FL. Dr. Ciombor then moved to Vanderbilt University for fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology. In addition to her clinical and research fellowship, she completed a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Vanderbilt University in 2013. She joined the faculty at The Ohio State University in the Division of Medical Oncology in 2013. Dr. Ciombor is interested in developing new therapeutics in gastrointestinal malignancies through clinical trials, as well as translational research for the development of prognostic and predictive biomarkers in colorectal cancer.
