Dr. Richard Goldberg wrote a guest column explaining a statewide screening program for colorectal patients — as well as relatives of cancer patients found to have the syndrome’s genetic markers. The newly announced Ohio Colorectal Cancer Prevention Initiative, funded by Pelotonia and coordinated by The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center — Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Institute, will test colorectal cancer patients and their biological relatives to identify a wider number of Ohioans who may be at risk for colorectal, ovarian and uterine cancers.
