Dr. Sopirala is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Assistant Medical Director of the Department of Clinical Epidemiology for OSU East. She joined the faculty in July 2008 after completing her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at The Ohio State University in June 2007 and after functioning as a Clinical Instructor and Assistant Medical Director of the Department of Clinical Epidemiology for OSU East from July 2007 to June 2008. Dr. Sopirala is also currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health degree specializing in Clinical Investigation, to be completed in June, 2009.
Special Interests
Dr. Sopirala’s interests include treatment of multidrug resistant organisms and clinical epidemiology in addition to general infectious diseases.
Dr Sopirala is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, American Society of Microbiology, American College of Physicians and American Medical Association.
