The AIDS Education and Training Centers

The AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETC) Program of the Ryan White CARE Act currently supports a network of 11 regional centers (and more than 130 local performance sites) across the United States that conduct targeted, multi-disciplinary education and training programs for healthcare providers treating persons with HIV/AIDS.

The mission of the AETCs is to improve the quality of life of patients living with HIV/AIDS through the provision of high quality professional education and training.
The AETC Program is administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HIV/AIDS Bureau. 

The Division of Infectious Diseases at The Ohio State University Medical Center is the local performance site of the Pennsylvania/MidAtlantic AETC region. 
The target area served by the OSU AETC is the northeast quadrant of Ohio.  The only other AETC in Ohio is located at the University of Cincinnati which covers the rest of Ohio.
