Dr. Young is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, joining the faculty in 2007 after completing his Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at The Ohio State University Medical Center. During his fellowship, he also earned a Master of Public Health degree at The Ohio State University College of Public Health. Dr. Young is the Assistant Director of Outpatient Services for the Infectious Diseases Clinic. Special Interests Dr. Young's clinical and research interests involve the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in cancer patients, particularly the bone marrow transplant population. He is initiating a program to provide optimal care for the prevention and treatment of infections in these patients, working together with the Hematologists and Oncologists at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital. Dr. Young provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient consultative services for cancer patients with infectious diseases. In addition, he is involved in infection control and hospital epidemiology in the cancer center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
