Special Interests Dr. Whisler's specialty interests include osteoarthritis, bursitis, rheumatoid arthritis and vasculitis, with research focused on osteoarthritis and autoimmunity. A recent major activity includes the Osteoarthritis Initiative (OAI), a public/private partnership between the National Institutes of Health and several pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Whisler is one of several OAI team leaders at The Ohio State University.
