Hematology Faculty voted Professor of the Year


The 2012 graduating class at the Ohio State University College of Medicine has voted Don Benson, MD professor of the year. The Professor of The Year Award has been awarded each year since 1931 by the graduating class of The Ohio State University College of Medicine to a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence and commitment to teaching and in mentoring and serving as a role model to the class. This once-in-a-lifetime award if the highest honor that a faculty member can earn from the graduating class. Portraits of all past winners are displayed in the west lobby of Meiling Hall.

This year Dr. Benson will be recognized at the Medical School’s Convocation which is set to take place on June 7th at 2:00pm. The ceremony will be at the Ohio Union.

We are quite proud of Dr. Benson and know that he will continue to enrich the lives of not only our students but our patients as well. Congratulations Dr. Benson!
