Ms. Allain is a trained genetic counselor who specializes in the provision of clinical genetic services. Ms. Allain sees patients in the Medical Genetics Program and is assigned to the Mt. Carmel Cancer Risk Program three days a week, where she provides comprehensive cancer genetic consultations to individuals and families with a history of cancer. Research Interests
Ms. Allain is the coordinator of a study aiming to identify the genetic factors related to the development of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the skin. The study is recruiting organ transplant recipients who have developed 5 or more SCCs and transplant recipients who are five years out from their transplant and have less than 2 SCCs as well as non-transplant patients who have SCCs.
