Mission statement:

To conduct innovative, interdisciplinary, medically- relevant quality improvement and investigative research in the clinical setting that will enhance care of complex, chronically ill patients and promote financially sustainable care models within the GIM Division, IM Department, and OSU Wexner Medical Center.

Health care is changing; primary care research in internal medicine is more essential now than ever before because more and more people are living with the reality of complex, chronic disease.  The patients need quality evidence based medical care, preserved quality of life, and resources to empower them in disease management.  Our researchers have tackled these problems by focusing on clinically relevant (? translational) research in the areas of patient care, communication and community.

We have meaningful research relationships with throughout the expanse of Ohio State. Various Subspecialists in the Department of Internal Medicine, College of Nursing, CCTS, primary care network, College of Pharmacy, College of Public Health, Department of Economics, College of Social Work, Department of English, Department of Psychology, College of Medicine. We’re dedicated to developing the next generation of researchers by working with trainees throughout the OSU system, not only our medical students and internal medicine residents, but OSU graduate students from all disciplines.

If you are interested in working with us or learning more, please any of our researchers directly contact me at Seuli.Brill@osumc.edu.  We look forward to hearing from you.
