Nathan was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and is proud to be a native to the desert. He attended the University of Arizona in Tucson for his undergraduate degree in Physiology and, after this, he moved to Ohio to attend medical school at The Ohio State University. While attending medical school and volunteering at the Columbus Free Clinic, he met his wife, Rebekah, who was also a medical student. They got married in medical school and couples matched at OSU into Med-Peds and Emergency Medicine. They are expecting their first child in December 2014! In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, walking his Aussie (named Tobie), hiking (when he can get back to the mountains out West), being involved with his church, and playing guitar and singing. After his chief year, he is still deciding on his next steps, but he is considering a career as a generalist or subspecializing in adult cardiology with an interest in adult congenital cardiology.
