I want to personally welcome you to the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (GHN) website. We are glad you have taken the time to visit us. The GHN division is experiencing growth and expansion in several areas. We are excited to share with you some of our recent developments. As an academic medical institution, we are always committed to patient care, medical education and translational research.
I am elated to be the new Division Director at Ohio State University. As a native Ohioan, I could not be more honored to serve in this position. It truly is a blessing to be close to our friends and family. It is also wonderful to provide gastrointestinal healthcare to people from all four corners of our great state!
We have hired additional faculty and nurse practitioners to keep up with the demands of endoscopy and clinical services. I am happy to report that we have recruited a talented and diverse group of new providers to complement our existing group of outstanding physicians and nurse practitioners. These recruits come from across the United States and will bring new energy and passion to the OSU campus in various gastrointestinal disciplines.
To further maintain improvements in our academic mission, we have increased our fellowship program and will be enrolling our first class of advanced fellows for the 2014-2015 academic year in liver transplantation and therapeutic endoscopy. We also have approval for an advanced fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease for the 2015-16 academic year.
As central Ohio’s academic leader, we are committed to “treating others as ourselves”. Our division has taken on the challenge to move from a Good to Great division. We are excited about the journey we are on and our future looks bright. Further recruitment in the areas of nutrition, motility and hepatology are planned.
We welcome the opportunity to assist you in your gastrointestinal health.
