Bio

Pegi is a certified nurse practitioner at the Ohio State University Medical Center Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.

Pegi received her BME from the Ohio State University in 1987 and her MS in nursing from The Ohio State University College of Nursing in 2005. That year she was named Outstanding Adult Nurse Practitioner Student and received the Dean’s Leadership Award. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing , and is certified by the ANCC as an adult nurse practitioner.

Before coming to OSU, Pegi worked as a public health clinician at Columbus Public Health in the Sexual Health Clinic.

In 2006, Pegi was awarded the NP/PA post-graduate Fellowship in Hepatology by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases for one year of specialized training in liver disease. After completing the fellowship, Pegi remained at Ohio State where she sees patients with all kinds of liver disease. Her special interests are Hepatitis C, psycho-social issues related to liver disease and chronic illness, and symptom management.
