Dr. Wong conducts basic research focusing on the pathogenesis of T cell lymphoma (CTCL).  The long term goals are to identify biomarkers to improve the accuracy for diagnosis, to monitor response to therapy, and to aid the development of novel treatments.  To that end, his laboratory has identified genes that may serve as novel markers in CTCL.  The current efforts are focused on studying the relationship to prognosis and the mechanism for how these genes are regulated to understand the mechanism for their deregulation in CTCL.
