Professional Highlights
Dr. Steven Dean joins OSU Medical Center as the Program Director, Vascular Medicine, and Director, Cardovascular Medicine's Non-invasive Peripheral Vascular Laboratory. Prior to joining OSUMC, Dr. Dean was at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Oklahoma City where he was the director of the Vascular Ultrasound Laboratory. He has published multiple articles on topics related to vascular medicine and has been a frequent lecturer and presenter at national meetings on vascular related diseases. Dr. Dean is board certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Vascular Medicine and awarded Fellowship in the American College of Physicians. He is a trustee on the Society for Vascular Medicine and Biology Board.
Specialty/ Clinical Interests
Dr. Steven Dean's clinical expertise is the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of vascular diseases; lymphedema; venous diseases; vasospastic diseases; unusual lower extremity ulcerations; enigmatic limb swelling and non-invasive imaging.
Education/ Specialty Training
He received his medical degree from Oklahoma State University - Center for Health Sciences. Dr. Dean's postgraduate training includes an internship at the Chicago Osteopathic Hospital, and an internal medicine residency and vascular medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
