Board Certified In Internal Medicine
Dr. Zhenguo Liu is assistant professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Dr. Liu came to OSU from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, where he focused his research efforts on the bone marrow stem cells and his clinical work on cardiovascular diseases. He recently completed his fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the Milwaukee Heart Institute with Dr. Masood Akhtar. He has taught at Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada, and at Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China. He has authored nearly 20 publications and abstracts and has received numerous honors and awards, such as the American Heart Association Cardiology Fellows Forum of Excellence Award, Lillehei Scholar from the University of Minnesota, Medical Research Council of Canada Scholarship and the Dean’s Award from Queen’s University. He is a member of the American Heart Association Scientific Councils, the American College of Cardiology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Specialties.
