Board Certified In Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine
Dr. Philip Binkley is the James H. and Ruth J. Wilson Professor of Medicine, and Vice Chair for Academic Affairs in the Department of Internal Medicine and Director of Cardiovascular Research for the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Widely known for his research acumen, Dr. Binkley currently serves on the National Research Committee of the American College of Cardiology and has served as OSU principal investigator on a number of multicenter studies examining the effects of various pharmaceuticals on the human heart. Dr. Binkley has served on several professional committees and currently is president elect of the American Heart Association (Ohio Affiliate). He has authored or co-authored more than 200 articles, abstracts and letters for a variety of peer-reviewed publications, including The American Heart Journal and The Annals of Internal Medicine. He is also a frequent presenter and is an ad hoc reviewer for various peer-review journals including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
